The open-air pools are arranged like terraces and have been naturally formed by calcareous deposits of thermal water at varying temperatures. They allow you to enjoy a relaxing and therapeutic bath in mineral waters and mud while observing this fascinating natural mountain environment along the Colina River. These hot baths are even more comforting in the heart of winter, as within the pools, you can enjoy the cozy feeling of being sheltered and protected from the mountain chill.

Itinerary for the Cajón del Maipo and Valle de Colina Hot Springs Excursion:
Pick-up time for this group tour begins at 6:00 am. The exact time will depend on your location and the pick-up route for the other passengers. We pick up from all hotels in downtown Santiago, Providencia, or Las Condes. If you are not in one of these areas, you will need to go to one of them or book a private tour.
8:00 am Arrival in San José de Maipo, the main town of the commune (and time for breakfast)
9:00 am Arrival at the Colina Valley Hot Springs
2:00 pm San José Volcano viewpoint
3:00 pm Visit to La Casa de Chocolate
3:30 pm Return to Santiago

This tour is not suitable for people with mobility issues unless the family group omits the visit to the El Yeso reservoir.
The Cajón del Maipo is a natural area with a diverse and unique climate. Tours may be modified, or some of the described points may not be accessible, if road or weather conditions do not permit. This will be assessed by the guide based on their experience.
What to bring? Sunglasses, sunscreen, swimsuit.
The recommendations are the same as when visiting natural areas with these characteristics: dispose of trash in designated areas, and if there aren't any, take it with you. If you have a campfire or barbecue, extinguish it completely; don't leave cigarette butts on the ground. Respect the environment and the peace and quiet of other visitors.
