Private visit to the Pablo Neruda House Museum
Isla Negra and Pomaire: Poetry, magic, fine dining and pottery crafts
A private day trip from Santiago, rich in architectural and cultural content, offering plenty of entertainment and beautiful ocean views. We visit El Quisco, the Pablo Neruda House Museum (Nobel Prize for Poetry winner), the Pacific coast, and the artisan and pottery village of Pomaire. This 10-hour tour includes museum entrance, an expert cultural guide, and transportation.
On this excursion, we'll have the opportunity to visit and explore Pablo Neruda's house. A gem in itself, its originality and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean are truly remarkable. Built according to the specific principles of a ship, everything about it evokes the sea. Inside, the house treasures the poet collected over decades in his final refuge: masks, figureheads, giant butterflies, exotic seashells, childhood toys, and other eccentricities that are hard to find elsewhere and well worth seeing.
After the visit, we'll depart for Pomaire, a town of pottery artisans famous in Chile for their clay crafts. Their renowned ceramics are characterized by their reddish hue and smooth, glossy surface. In Pomaire, we'll stroll along the main street, where artisans display their vases, pans, rustic ornaments, and decorative items. We'll also have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious Chilean lunch at a typical local restaurant (optional).
